Sun Valley

This past weekend has been so great! Brian had a convention for work in Sun Valley on Monday and Tuesday and asked his Uncle Ken if we could go early and stay at his condo and he said of course!! So our whole family was able to go. We had high expectations and we were not disappointed! It was so beautiful with the season's first snowfall which the boys took full advantage of. Bri took them out to march through the snow. When they returned they were sopping wet and drenched in delight. They warmed up with some hot chocolate and nestled in to hear our Church leaders speak in General Conference. That evening we went swimming in one of the warm and wonderful outdoor Sun Valley pools. Sunday was filled with General Conference again and a breathtaking drive (while the boys took a much needed nap). It was a peaceful weekend thanks to a perfect setting and powerful messages from prophets and apostles. Monday Brian went to his work conference (Idaho Hospital Association) and the boys and I took a walk around and looked at the ducks and elegant swans. They love trudging through the snow and pretending to "ski" in their snow boots. They are the best of friends, I love it! That night we let the boys decide if we would eat out or get takeout. They both independently decided we would be eating out. It was pretty cute how they discussed their decision together after they both decided separately. We ended the evening with some more swimming and caramel apples. Today we went and saw the work horses and fed them some grass. This was Tyson's favorite! He really enjoyed it and even got licked by one. Marcus was a little apprehensive about feeding them but liked watching them. Sun Valley was so fun, and I feel just as Marcus and Tyson do when they sing their made up song,"Sun Valley is the coolest!" Thanks Ken and Patty.

Primary Program

Our primary program was today and we have been practicing all week. Marcus did so good and we are so proud of him.

We decided we couldn't leave Tyson out, so we had him memorize it too. They want you all to know who you are.

Caramel Apples!

While grocery shopping yesterday Marcus spotted a caramel apple package...he was with Dad when he made this discovery and so of course Dad was more then willing to get it. He was so excited to make them and had asked multiple times when we were going to make them, he had to be pretty patient but as you can see from the pictures it was well worth the wait.

Carter got in on the action too...he loved it!

This Week...

Carter started walking!

He isn't a pro yet, but on Tuesday he started taking his first couple of steps. He still prefers to crawl, but he likes to walk around like his older brothers.

Marcus and Tyson have really been enjoying pajama time lately. They have a whole lot of fun in their PJ's...I love this picture, they think they are so funny and can laugh at each other over just about anything.

Dad made the boys their first root beer floats, which Marcus thoroughly enjoyed.Tyson could have done without...you wouldn't think so from the photo but it is true! He loved to stir it around, maybe that is the reason for the smile.

I have also found another way to haul my dear kids around...like it? I sure do, who needs a double stroller?

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Tony Grove for some camping. Brian and I LOVE Tony Grove...that is where he proposed to me more than five years ago on the top of a snowy peak, it holds a lot of wonderful memories. The boys were really excited to go and couldn't wait to get good and dirty, and dirty they did get! We had missed Brian's family's camping trip earlier this year and he was really disappointed so they came and stayed with us friday night. We really had a blast!

A Week Full of Fun!

This past week we were at my Mom's. Brian had to work a lot of nights and I wanted to go to my friend's wedding, so we ended up apart...I hated that part. It was great being in Logan and the boys got spoiled. They were sure to get a good pillow fight in each night with Jackson. Tyson is being the pillow monster in this photo...watch out! CHEESECAKE!! Who needs a fork?! Carter and Cruz playin' with the fishees. We went to my sister Michele's house one of the days and had a blast playin' with her and her cute kiddos. Here's Porter my nephew age TWO, riding a bike without training wheels and going off a ramp! He just needs help getting on and then he rides way. I hate to say this but Marcus has yet to learn to ride a bike... We didn't really go four wheeling but these three really played SO well together. I loved it! Matthew and Rebecca Morrison, they are such a cute couple! I am so glad they found each other! Thanks for letting me be a part of your wonderful day Rebecca!
The beautiful bride and Me!
