Christmas Fun!

We love Christmas! The Christmas spirit, the music, Christmas Trees, lights, decorations...everything! It has been so much fun with our boys. This past week we have been making some fun little Christmas decorations as well as decorating. Como had a fun little project for the kids to do and Marcus, Tyson, Carter and I made this fun little Christmas tree. (not really Carter, but he slept so I could help them...that counts right?) He is just beaming! Tyson was good to hold it all the way home for us. He told me he would, "hold tight"! I think that this is my favorite thing that he says. It just means that he doesn't want you to take it way.Marcus' snowflake. (Thanks Kara, he loves it!)Here is our Christmas tree and please call it that. If you just call it a tree then Marcus will quickly let you know that it is a "CHRISTMAS TREE!" The boys today. Yep, Carter is a chunk...I love it!

Were Movin' To....

BOISE, IDAHO!! That's right, the Gem State, home to beautiful Mountain Bluebirds, Western White Pines, Rocky Mountains, Sun Valley, famous Idaho potatoes, and as of June 2009 - Us.

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center will be Brian's new employer and they have Marcus to thank. The final decision between Boise and Santa Cruz was left to Marcus who said he wanted to ski instead of surf, so Idaho here we come.

It also turns out that there are a few folks in Northern Utah who think this is a pretty decent decision as well.

Fun with Jill and Cruz!

A couple of weeks ago my twin sister Jill flew out with her little 2 month old boy Cruz. She was such a sweetheart and came to save me. Brian was out of town doing interviews for a fellowship for a whole week and I sure got spoiled with her. It also the first time I got to see her sweet little boy Cruz. He is so fun and Jill really is such a fun mom! We had a blast and my kids LOVE her. It still seems crazy that we are all grown up and have kids...where does time go?!? Thanks so much for coming Jill and "Cruz Man". I don't know what we would have done without you guys!

"Gobble, Gobble!"

Thursdays are always so great. We have such a wonderful ward that does playgroup every Thursday. I think it is even better during the cold winter months when you would really like to leave your home but can't go to a playground. Today we went to Jenny's home and made these fun little paper turkeys. I had told the boys about it while they were getting out of the bath and they both were so excited and would shout out "Gobble, Gobble" each time I asked them what a turkey says. They both really liked making them and are so excited to show their Daddy when he gets home from Oregon. He is gone for his first interview for a fellowship. Good luck DAD!! We Love you!

Happy Beckham Halloween!

Considering the fact that Halloween is about my least favorite holiday, you should all be impressed by what follows. If participation in all the Halloween festivities wasn't enough, I also accepted an assignment to narrate this post.

A class Halloween party forced me into costume and with my mad soccer skills and a wife as hot as mine, it was pretty obvious that we had to be the Beckhams. In fact, the number of compliments I recieved for my fohawk and tattoo made me think hard about adopting this new look full-time.

Keeping with the originality of the Beckhams, Marcus decided he would be a green-haired Soccer Monster and, as the evening wore on, a Rockstar as well.Not to be outdone, the lady-killer Texas Tyson came with his full bag of tricks. However, the real show stopper was Cool Carter appearing in person as himself after making it very clear that he would not tolerate a hot bear costume.

Ewey and Gooey!

Tonight I took Marcus and Tyson to the Como pumpkin carving activity and they had a whole lot of fun. I told them as we were walking over that they were going to get all messy, they were pretty excited about that. Marcus kept naming everything that he had on saying that it was going to get all "ewey and gooey." I am very glad however that he is a pretty neat and tidy kid - he really didn't get "ewey and gooey" at all, but even on our way home he had the biggest smile on his face and kept saying "we got all ewey and gooey!"
Marcus told me exactly what he wanted and was so proud of our pumpkin...I am sure glad that I didn't let him look at everyone elses or he might have been crying, I am not too good at carving pumpkins.

Shots...No Fun!

Well we went to the Doctor this morning and Carter is doing GREAT!! He now weights 13lbs and is 223/4 inches long. He also got his shots and has been sad ever since. Marcus and Tyson did so well with their shots that I didn't think it would bother Carter but his poor little legs have really been hurting him. Hopefully he will do better tomorrow.

"Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'"

Carter is now 2 months old. He is going to have his 2 month check up on Wednesday but today we caught him doing this! Marcus was so proud of him as was his Dad. He is actually in pretty big trouble with his Mom though, she doesn't think that he should be growing up this fast. He rolled over 3 times in a row...slow down Carter!!

Rocks!

Here are my sweet Sunday boys. This is the first time I have got Carter in a Sunday tie. Boys really are so much fun and sure look handsome all dressed up. I sure thought with good looking boys like these it was going to be a great day.

Well after church I got Tyson and Carter taking naps and put Marcus in his room for quiet time. I was making Sunday dinner when I heard Marcus hollering for me. I ran upstairs and Marcus told me he had rocks in his ears and not just in one ear but both! I don't even know how these small little rocks got into his bedroom but he found them and I guess he was a little bored and wanted to add a little adventure to the day. I didn't know what to do. Brian was still at his church meetings and I was debating whether I should attemp to get these rocks out of his ears myself or to leave it to the professionals . I decided to wait for Brian to get home so that I wouldn't be hauling all of my children to the clinic. We ate dinner and I was still debating on whether I should try to get them out myself. Marcus told me he wanted me to take them out and after a few prayers and singing we were able to get the rocks out with out any tears! I am sure glad that Heavenly Father helped me.

"What was your favorite thing today?"

Tonight we went on a walk to go and see the train that runs down by our apartment and we thought that the boys would love it. We have been a couple times before and have missed the trains and were hoping that we would actually get to see one in action...well we did. It definitely wasn't what Brian or I was expecting. While we were walking, we saw a train going by but we were too far away, or so we thought. Marcus loved it at that distance. We were all running trying to see as much as we could and he and Tyson were laughing. It was great! We realized that we were too late and kept walking in that direction. When we got to the train tracks another train was coming. We were way excited and put some coins on the track and went to the side to watch it go by. Marcus was a little scared at how loud it was but was still doing fine. The train started to slow down and then came to a stop. We were a little disappointed because we really wanted to get our flat coins. Brian started to walk closer to the train to see how close the end was and Marcus started to get really nervous. He was hollering at Brian to not get too close, he didn't want him to get hurt. We waited a bit and then heard the engine start up again from a distance and by the time it caught up to the train cars by us there was the loudest boom ever as the slack was pulled from between the train cars. It made me jump...Marcus was in tears! It was so sad. We did however get our smashed coins.

Later on that night as I was getting the boys to bed, I asked Marcus what his favorite thing that we did today was and he quickly replied, "Not the trains!" I sure love that kid!

Carter on the other hand didn't mind the trains. Slept through it all. :0)!

The Great Weekend!

This weekend was so much fun. Both Jeana and Maryn were able to come to Minnesota. We were already so excited for Jeana to come and visit and when Maryn got her mission call and found that she is leaving at the end of this month, we got another wonderful suprise that she was coming too. We weren't going to be spoiled with just one Aunt but two!! The boys really had so much fun and love, LOVE their Aunts. Thanks again for coming girls, and really anyone who ever wants to come and visit you are always welcome!

Carters Blessing Day!

We blessed Carter this past Sunday and it was so wonderful. Brian did such a wonderful job, we really are blessed with such a sweet little boy. Here is our sweet little boy, Carter Weston Lee. We also wanted to thank all of those who could come. With our family so far away we were blessed to have some of Brian's classmates with us to celebrate, as well as Jeana! Thanks you guys!

Pizza with JEANA!!

This past week we have had a couple of wonderful visitors. Marcus and Tyson have been anticipating Jeana's arrival since our moms left. The first night Jeana (Brian's sister) came, we made pizza...our own personal pizzas. They loved it!! It was so easy and they really were so proud of themselves. See pure pride!

Conference Weekend

This weekend was wonderful. We loved to hear all of the wonderful talks and to once again be reminded on what we need to improve on in our daily lives. On Saturday we wanted to let the boys get out and play a little before we made them stay inside. It is always a little hard to get both boys back inside and happy, but with Daddy it is never much of a problem. I love this pic! Here is Carter just lying around! I think that he is the best listener see how he is in such deep thought?

It is kind of nice that the boys are getting a little older and they can play upstairs while we watch conference. They really are pretty good about it. (please note the awesome gloves that Marcus has on, he loves them and didn't want to take them off after our walk.) It really helps that Marcus has a good playmate. Here's Tyson being a "little boy" again. They really do grow so fast.
